Seth Rollins arrived at The Rich Eisen Show fresh off another Good Morning Football appearance and quickly drew attention to a black eye barely hidden under morning makeup, the result of a Bron Breakker spear that traveled faster than the WWE superstar had ever seen.
"This lunatic came so fast down the ramp when he flipped as he speared me," Rollins said. "His foot hit me in the eye. I was on the ground writhing in pain because I couldn't breathe, wondering why my eye was also swelling."
Rollins described his Wrestlemania opponent as a force operating without a governor, saying Breakker "does not know his own speed, his own strength" and that he is "on autopilot in the scariest way." The retaliation came on Monday, when Rollins cracked Breakker open with a chair, a moment he framed with characteristic theatricality. "I made the man bleed his own blood," Rollins said, while admitting the move only fired his rival up further.
The conversation pivoted to the NFL Draft, with Rollins, a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, processing the unfamiliar feeling of picking outside the top ten. Rich noted that Daniel Jeremiah had Auburn edge Keldric Faulk going to Chicago in his mock, and Rollins endorsed the fit without hesitation. "The Bears biggest weakness last season was getting to the passer off the edge," Rollins said, citing Montez Sweat as the only consistent threat and pointing to a void on the opposite side that a difference-maker could fill.
Rollins admitted curiosity about the Kansas City Chiefs picking unusually high and the New York Giants pairing a strong young core of Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo and Jaxson Dart with Brian Daboll's roster. He compared a potential Giants haul of Jeremiah Love and Carnell Tate to the Bears landing Rome Odunze and Caleb Williams in the same draft.
The segment turned to two athletes who had recently invoked the WWE on broadcasts. Pittsburgh Penguin Bryan Rust likened a chaotic second period to a wrestling match, and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker called out official James Williams by name, warning the NBA risked being viewed "as a WWE" if officiating were not held responsible. Rollins translated the complaint through his own household, noting that his wife Becky Lynch has been dealing with what he called a "corrupt ref" in Jessica Carr for months, then turned the comparison into advice for Booker. "The next time you're on the court with that guy, you got to figure out a way to work around him and make it work for you," Rollins said.
Rollins closed with the launch of his coffee brand Admo, fresh off a tag-team latte art throwdown at the World of Coffee expo and a sampling rollout at WWE World, with the website going live Monday.
