Tom Segura Shares A GREAT Joe Burrow/Nick Bosa Dinner Story

Tom Segura had dinner in Austin with Joe Burrow, Nick Bosa, and former NFL lineman John Feliciano. By his own admission, he made one mistake at the table.

He brought it on himself by walking in behind Bosa.

"I get a POV of what it's like to be him," Segura told Rich. "People were looking up like they were seeing an AI human walk into the room. He's a large man. Large, but his hair was flowing. I was watching people who were eating and they were like, no one's ever looked at me like that. It's crazy."

The group sat down in a private room. The conversation went to the place NFL conversations tend to go.

Burrow had a disc that shifted in his neck. Bosa had a knee that blew out. Feliciano had three ribs. Segura, in the room with three men whose bodies are professional currency, made a choice.

"I'm just in the conversation, so I go, oh yeah, I hurt my tailbone," Segura said. "I knew, as I said it, I deserve whatever is coming to me."

Bosa took the opening immediately.

"He was like, did you get that falling down the stairs?"

Segura explained that no, it had been punt coverage in high school. In Florida. Real football, real deal. The defense did not move the room.

"They lit me up for like 30 minutes," Segura said. He surrendered. "I was like, yeah, whatever you want to say is true. I'm sorry. Sorry, I'm here."

The dinner pivoted to one of the more unexpected confessions of the night. Bosa wanted to talk about his new interest.

"He was like, you know what I'm really into right now? I go, what? He goes, books."

Segura tried to be polite. He asked if Bosa was discovering them for the first time.

"Well, yeah, I've been playing football so much that I've never really read books," Bosa said, in Segura's telling. "But they're great."

Segura offered to send him a list.
