Women's Sports Now Returns for Season 2

Big housekeeping day on the show, and Rich wanted to get it all on the record.

First headline. Rich will be hosting SportsCenter on Sunday night at midnight from the old Bristol studios. Old school SportsCenter, same format he did back in August, wrapping after the Masters finishes, the ESPN NBA doubleheader ends, and Inside the NBA signs off. Bringing the daily show to Disney Plus and ESPN included that return to the SportsCenter chair as part of a larger offer he could not turn down.

From there, the bigger news.

The show was on the Roku Channel for three years before the ESPN move. Rich makes a point of saying he loves every human at Roku and thought the show would live there forever. The ESPN offer changed the math. Part of what Roku supported during that run was a spinoff that mattered. Women's Sports Now. A show about women's sports, hosted by women, built for everyone.

Women's Sports Now ran 20 episodes in a successful first season on Roku. And Rich used the hit to announce that season two is coming back. New home. New stage. Same crew.

It launches a week from today. Next Thursday. And every Thursday after that at 6 p.m. Eastern on ESPN digital platforms. Produced right out of the Rich Eisen Show studios.

The roster is the same group of voices. Suzy Shuster hosting. Renee Montgomery, former UConn and WNBA champion, part owner of the Atlanta Dream, fresh off adding Angel Reese to the franchise. Colleen Wolfe from NFL Network. Sarah Tiana providing the humor and the energy and, Rich notes, married to someone in a Masters sweater on set.

The credits matter to Rich. He thanks Burke Magnus, Jimmy Pitaro, Dave Roberts, Justin Craig, and Mike Foss at ESPN. He gives the producer credit to Rich Eisen Productions, Firefly, Hello Sunshine, and Think Tank Productions. He calls it a village.

The sponsor acknowledgment he almost forgot lands at the end. Miller Lite is the presenting sponsor, with APX and the team at Publicis also in the mix. Without them, the show does not come back.

Rich calls the whole rollout the Lufthansa heist he and his team have been cultivating for a while. Big day. Big announcement. Big calendar coming up.
